ALABAMA

Warren Averett, Birmingham, promoted six to members of the firm: Jack Adams, Grant Cardwell and Reed King in Birmingham; David Ferreira in Tampa, Fla.; Kristen McAllister in Pensacola, Fla.; and Colleen Sanchez in Atlanta.

ARIZONA

Christian Korsnack was hired as a senior audit associate; and Alex Ayala and Joseph Hankey were hired as audit associates, at REDW, Phoenix.

CALIFORNIA

Rich Morris was promoted to tax partner in the transaction advisory practice, and Malve Ildefonso was hired as an assurance partner in the asset management practice, at BDO USA, San Francisco.

Thomas Liu was hired as a tax partner at White Nelson Diehl Evans, Irvine.

Suzie Doran, audit partner at SingerLewak, Los Angeles, was appointed president of the Association for Corporate Growth Los Angeles chapter.

ILLINOIS

Jim Powers was reappointed as CEO of Crowe Horwath, Chicago, with his term extended to March 31, 2021, after the Crowe board of directors asked him to continue in the role.

Chris Allen was promoted to director in the tax and financial services department; Ryan Guedel was promoted to director in the assurance services department; and Paulette Chilar was promoted to manager, at CJBS, Northbrook.

Lee House, Kevin Johnson and Tom Myers were promoted to partners in the technology practice at Sikich, Chicago.

CohnReznick promoted three to partner in the Chicago office: Wesley Prato in the commercial real estate industry practice, John Van Stee in the assurance practice, and Naseem Wenzel in the commercial real estate advisory practice.

INDIANA

The Indiana CPA Society, Indianapolis, promoted three staff members: Courtney Kincaid to vice president of strategic initiatives; Stacey Wilson to vice president of member services; and Sarah Townsend to membership and volunteer manager.

MARYLAND

Kevin Madden was hired as an audit supervisor at DeLeon & Stang, Gaithersburg, returning to the firm where he worked from 2011-2015.

CohnReznick promoted three to partner: in Baltimore, Kevin Beattie, member of the affordable housing, technology and new media, and life sciences industry practices; and in Bethesda, Emily Butler, in the assurance practice, and Brian Marconi, in the renewable energy industry practice.

Robin Meisner and Kimberly Maxwell were promoted to principals at E. Cohen & Co., Rockville.

MASSACHUSETTS

Peter Stam, co-founder of AccuFund, Needham, has retired after 16 years of leadership, and will continue to be involved with the company at a strategic planning level. Gordon Holfelder has assumed the role of president after serving as vice president since the company’s inception, and Ian Scotland was named vice president and general manager. Kaitlin Archibald was promoted to senior at Nathan Wechsler & Co., Concord.

NEW JERSEY

CohnReznick promoted two to principal in the Roseland office: Alison Galer, deputy general counsel, and Joy Martak, co-leader of the trusts and estates practice.

NEW YORK

UHY, New York, announced three hires: Warren Zafrin as a partner and leader, and Lauren Jarvis as a principal, both in the risk advisory services group; and Corey Massella as a partner and managing director.

Marks Paneth, New York, promoted three professionals: Pamela Mosiello to partner in the tax services group; Angela Sadang to principal in the advisory services group; and Reshma Ghouri to director in the private client services group.

Timothy Garland, member of the technology and new media and manufacturing and distribution industry practices, was promoted to partner at CohnReznick, New York.

Ting Sun was hired as an associate accountant in the assurance and advisory services department at Scott and Co., Columbia.

TEXAS

Weaver added three new partners with the acquisition of Condon & Co. in Houston: Irma Hernandez, Michael Landry and Ryan Currie.

VIRGINIA

Gary Prioste was appointed CEO at SSi Consulting, Vienna, replacing Bill Aiton, who served in the role for 13 years. The move follows the acquisition of SSi Consulting by Menlo Technologies, where Prioste is CEO, earlier this year.

WISCONSIN
