Mike Shields, professor and Schaberg Endowed Chair in Accounting emeritus, Michigan State University, was named a recipient of the Association of International CPAs and the American Accounting Associations’ Lifetime Contribution Award, recognizing professionals who have made a significant contribution to management accounting education, research and practice. Mark Young of the University of Southern California, Fei Du of the University of Hong Kong, Kelsey Kay Dworkis of the University of Denver, and Kari Joseph Olsen of Utah State University, were presented with the 2018 Greatest Potential Impact on Management Accounting Practice Award for their paper, “It's All about All of Us: The Rise of Narcissism and Its Implications for Management Control System Research.”

James Turgal, former executive assistant director for the Federal Bureau of Investigation Information and Technology Branch, was appointed managing director of the cyber risk services practice of Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory, Deloitte & Touche, New York. Turgal, who recently retired from the FBI after 21 years of service, will primarily focus on advising clients on cyber incident response, cyber war-gaming and cyber resilience.

John Ruckstuhl was hired as a managing director in the transaction advisory services group at EisnerAmper, New York.

Christopher Cannucciari was promoted to partner at LCS&Z, Latham.
