ILLINOIS

Brian Becker was appointed national consulting leader of RSM, following various leadership roles he’s held in the firm’s consulting practice since 1998, most recently as national technology and management consulting leader and leader of consulting in RSM’s central region. In this role, he will lead RSM’s consulting practice and serve as a members of the firm’s national leadership team, reporting directly to managing partner and CEO Joe Adams.

Troy Nehring was named to the EB-5 services practice of Baker Tilly Capital, the boutique investment bank and subsidiary of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, where he will be advising clients on business issues related to the EB-5 program, which is administered by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service.

Frank Pina, managing director and co-chair of the forensic and litigation support services group, received the annual Champion CPA Award by the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs, which recognizes the member who exemplifies the highest qualities of leadership by demonstrated participation, contributions and commitment to PICPA, the CPA profession and the community. The award will be presented at the chapter’s annual meeting and luncheon May 5.

Robert Charlton, partner at Nisivoccia LLP, Mount Arlington, was awarded the 2017 Volunteer Award at the annual Sussex County Chamber of Commerce “Quality un Business, Quality in Living” awards dinner to recognize his active role in the community.

NEW YORK

Frances McKenna was appointed tax director in the nonprofit, government and healthcare group of Marks Paneth, New York. McKenna previously spent 26 years serving in the Tax Exempt & Government Entities Division of the Internal Revenue Service.

P. Scott Ozanus was appointed chairman of the Americas Region of KPMG by unanimous election of the firm’s Americas Board, choosing him to succeed Bill Thomas, the firm’s newly elected global chairman. As regional chairman, Ozanus will join KPMG’s Global Board and Executive Committee and maintain his current role as deputy chairman and chief operating officer of KPMG, which he has held since 2012.

Ross Forman was named managing director of the corporate real estate advisory services practice of BDO Consulting, New York.

James Dalkin was appointed incoming chair of the Consultative Advisory Group to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board, New York, effective April 1. His appointment, approved by the Public Interest Oversight Board, follows his election by representatives of the IAASB CAG.

Scott Baret was appointed vice chairman and leader of the banking and securities practice at Deloitte, New York, where he has been a partner with Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory. Baret succeeds Kenny Smith, a vice chairman, who was named into the role in 2014 and retains his position as Deloitte’s national financial services industry leader.
