ACCA debuts new education module on ethics and professional skills

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants has made its newest qualification module, ethics and professional skills, live.

The older professional skills module expired on October 30.

The redesigned section of the ACCA’s educational offering focuses on developing ethical behavior and judgment to ensure finance professionals can pass the strategic professional exam offered by the association. The strategic professional exam used to be called the professional level, but was redesigned in September this year.

The ethics and professional skills module is meant to develop skills in leadership, negotiation, conflict management, commercial thinking, and skepticism integrated with realistic business situations to improve employability and career success.

“The new ethics and professional skills module ensures that ethics still has its place at the heart of our qualification,” explained Helen Brand, chief executive of ACCA, in a statement. “Through developing and demonstrating a high standard of ethical and professional behaviors alongside the strategic and technical expertise acquired through passing the ACCA exams, ACCA professional accountants will be able to make an immediate impact in their workplace.”
