ACCA exam pass rates grow in June 2017

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants announced the results for their June 2017 exam sitting, showing an uptick in passing rates among test-takers.

Last month, 135,259 students worldwide sat for 186,011 exams taken, with 5,853 students ultimately completing their final exams to become Association members. According to the ACCA, increases in education and support therein have contributed to better exam numbers.

‘We are pleased with our latest exam results," stated ACCA’s executive director of strategy and development Alan Hatfield, per a statement. "Affiliate numbers remain very strong, with close to 5,900 new affiliates completing their exams this session. Currently, our affiliate number stands at a total of 9,385, which is 3% up this half year compared to the latter half of 2016. We’ve also seen a growing number of students taking CBE session-based exams which are designed to reflect the real world skills required by employers."

"What’s becoming increasingly clear is that when students access and use the right learning support – especially blended options combining learning provider courses with ACCA’s own resources across all levels of the syllabus – pass rates get stronger," Hatfield added.
