Accounting firms feature on Fortune's 2017 'Best Workplaces for Diversity' list

Accounting and professional service firms, including three members of the Big Four, were recently named to Fortune magazine's 2017 "Best Workplaces for Diversity" list.

To compile the list, Fortune received feedback from over 440,000 employees with over 50 survey questions asking to anonymously assess their employers. For the purpose of the survey, "diverse” referred to staff who are a racial/ethnic minority, female, LGBTQ, disabled, or born prior to 1964. Eligible companies needed to be "Great Place to Work"-certified, have a staff of at least 50 employees, and return survey results with at least a 95% confidence level.

The accounting and tax firms represented on Fortune's list, along with their rankings, are as follows:

  • No. 23. Deloitte
  • No. 50 Ernst & Young
  • No. 56 PricewaterhouseCoopers
  • No. 67 Ryan
