Accounting firm goes after Mel Gibson’s ex over unpaid bills

Southern California accounting firm White, Zuckerman, Warsavsky, Luna & Hunt has filed documents in court against Mel Gibson’s former girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, seeking payment on an unpaid bill of $108,887 for forensic accounting services after the firm helped her win an increase in child support payments from the actor-director.

The firm filed documents this month in a California court asking a judge to allow it to sue Grigorieva, who filed for bankruptcy in 2015 before hiring the firm, according to a celebrity news site, The Blast. Grigorieva, a Russian singer-songwriter, was able to receive $22,500 in support thanks to WZWL&H’s forensic accounting help. Grigorieva and Gibson’s baby Lucia was born in 2009 and the couple split about six months later.

Gibson ended up paying most of the firm’s fees for its services in examining Gibson’s finances and upping the child support payments, but there’ still an outstanding balance of more than $108,000. WZWL&H argues it shouldn’t have to wait another 18 months while she makes payments under a bankruptcy plan because she hired the firm after declaring bankruptcy. WZWL&H’s managing partner did not immediately respond to requests for comment, and Grigorieva could not be reached.
