The National Litigation Support Services Association, a nonprofit consortium of CPA firms that provide litigation support to the legal and business and media communities, has named Jim Atkins, CPA, MBA, ABV, as president of the Mississauga, Ont.-based group.

Atkins currently serves as managing principal of Economic Forensics, in Longwood, Fla., where he directs litigation consulting in the areas of commercial and intellectual property interruptions/infringements, bankruptcy, employment matters, personal injury and wrongful death; business valuations; and forensic investigations into white collar crime.

Atkins also is a peer reviewer for the American Institute of CPAs and a member of the Florida Institute of CPAs' peer review acceptance committee.

NLSSA member firms include Clifton Gunderson, Aronson & Co., Virchow Krause & Co., and Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra.
