Avalara broadens SAP integrations

Avalara, which makes cloud-based tax compliance software, has earned a certification for SAP’s ERP Central Component (ECC) solution for North America. This allows SAP customers to deploy AvaTax, Avalara’s tax automation software, within the ERP system.

AvaTax is designed to automatically calculate applicable sales and use taxes, fees and surcharges for every billing line item, in real-time.

Avalara already has several software integrations in place within the SAP ecosystem, including with SAP’s e-commerce platform Hybris, and Implico, an SAP implementation partner in the oil and gas industry. The SAP ECC integration for Avalara was developed by corporate tax consultancy DuCharme, McMillen & Associates.
