Avalara launches low-code studio for business apps

Tax compliance software provider Avalara announced the launch of a new low-code studio, which will allow developers to build integrations between the company’s compliance platform and customers' business applications.

Dubbed the "Avalara Integration Studio," the new offering provides tools that allow for customized workflows that developers can use to build specific functions with less coding required than building the application from scratch.

The company also announced two new products that will allow users to develop other applications: One is the Avalara e-Invoicing API, which allows partners to offer their customers the ability to trigger and manage e-invoicing processes from inside their own application. The other, Avalara Returns API, allows partners to embed tax return workflows for their customers, once more within the user’s application.

“Developers are critical partners to Avalara. We want to make it as easy as possible for developers to build integrations, compliance experiences, and new compliance applications using the innovation and expertise from Avalara,” said chief product officer Sanjay Parthasarathy in a statement. “The capabilities announced today are the next step in our journey of learning from, working with, and supporting the developer community.”
