Baldwin CPAs merges in Buchenberger, Eggers and Spurr

Baldwin CPAs PLLC has merged in Buchenberger, Eggers and Spurr LLC, a firm located in Louisville, Ky., effective Jan. 1, 2018.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Baldwin’s annual revenues are $7.5 million, while Buchenberger, Eggers and Spurr’s revenues are $200,000.

The merger will add two principals, Kathie Eggers and David Buchenberger, to Baldwin CPAs, but no staff. Baldwin already has 10 partners and 49 staff members. Eggers and Buchenberger will join Baldwin’s existing office in Louisville.

“We are excited about this union because it will allow us to be associated with highly talented people and the latest technologies,” Buchenberger said in a statement. “We believe this will translate into better service with a wider range of expertise for our valued clients without losing the personal touch you have come to expect from us.”

Baldwin CPAs offers services such as audits, reviews and compilations, bookkeeping and payroll, business consulting, business valuation, estate planning, forensic and litigation services, human resources consulting, outsourced CFO services, peer reviews, retirement plan administration, strategic planning, and tax preparation and planning. The firm has offices in Flemingsburg, Lexington, Louisville, Maysville and Richmond, Ky.

“Dave and Kathie are the type of CPAs we’re pleased to be associated with,” said Baldwin CPAs managing member Alan Long in a statement. “We look forward to offering additional services to the clients of Buchenberger, Eggers and Spurr, as well as the expertise that Dave and Kathie add to the Baldwin team.”

Baldwin CPAs previously merged in another Louisville firm called Anderson, Bryant, Lasky & Winslow in 2015, along with a firm in Flemington, Ky., known as Eldridge, Jackson & Leedy.
