Springfield, Mo. (Nov. 4, 2003) — The Kentucky and southern Indiana offices of National CPA and advisory firm BKD, have merged with EKW & Associates of Owensboro, Ky.
Terms were not disclosed.
The merger bolsters BKD’s financial institution services niche in addition to giving the firm a location in western Kentucky. BKD currently has three offices in the region in Louisville and Bowling Green, Ky., as well as Evansville, Ind.
With the merger, Jeffrey Ebelhar, partner-in-charge of EKW, along with EKW partners Douglas E. Keller and Rebecca R. Whitehead, join BKD as partners. The firm’s 22-person staff will be transferred to comparable posts within BKD Kentucky.
BKD ranked No. 12 on Accounting Today’s 2003 Top 100 firms list with annual revenues of roughly $211 million.
