Blackbaud Posts Strong 2Q

Charleston, S.C. (Aug. 6, 2004) — Nonprofit software provider Blackbaud Inc. reported second-quarter profits of $5.3 million compared with a loss of $200,000 for the prior-year period.

For the period ended June 30, Blackbaud, headquartered here posted a 19 percent increase in systemwide revenue to $35.5 million, compared with the year-ago revenue figures.

The company, best known for its proprietary Raiser’s Edge products, reported 29 percent increases in both license and services revenue to $7.3 million and $11.1 million, respectively.

The company, which recently became publicly traded, said its second quarter has traditionally been the strongest.
