Bowsher Tapped for Board of Tech Firm SI International

Reston, Va. (May 5, 2003) -- Former Comptroller General Charles A. Bowsher has been tapped by SI International Inc., a provider of information technology and network solutions to the federal government, to join its board of directors.

Bowsher will stand for election to SI International's Board at the company's annual stockholder meeting in June. He served as chairman of the defunct Public Oversight Board, the private sector body that monitored and reported on the self-regulatory programs and activities of member firms of the SEC Practice Section of the American Institute of CPAs. He also served on an oversight board headed by Former Federal Reserve chairman Paul Volcker that unsuccessfully attempted to revamp Andersen in 2002.

In addition to a 15-year term as Comptroller General and head of the General Accounting Office, Bowsher spent 21 years at Arthur Andersen and a 4-year period as Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Financial Management. He is a trustee of the Center for Naval Analysis, the Logistics Management Institute, the United States Navy Memorial Foundation, the Concord Coalition, the Hitachi Foundation, and serves on advisory boards at several universities.
