Camico to Offer Liability Program for Alliott Group Members

Louisville, Ky. (Jan. 27, 2004) -- Camico Mutual Insurance Co. has struck a deal to provide professional liability insurance and risk management services to the U.S. members of Alliott Group North America, a network of independent CPA firms.

Under the agreement, Alliott Group member firms in the U.S. are eligible to participate in a specially tailored professional liability program that includes a retrospective profit-sharing program. Camico will also provide AGNA with risk management sessions on topical issues at conferences, a quarterly risk management newsletter, statistical data to support Alliott Group activities, and in-firm loss prevention CPE programs for member firms.

Alliott Group North America has 19 members throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

“Liability insurance has always been a significant issue for our members,” said R. John Jones, CPA, managing partner of Linkenheimer LLP CPAs & Advisors, of Santa Rosa, Calif., and chair of the Alliott Group North America membership committee. “This agreement provides us with a significant degree of control over our professional liability program.”

Camico, the nation's largest CPA-owned mutual insurance company, provides professional liability insurance coverage to about 6,000 CPA firms in 44 states. The company is sponsored by state CPA societies in Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Tennessee and Washington.
