Change of Auditors

DREAMS INC. ENGAGES FRIEDMAN COHENSports memorabilia and licensing concern Dreams Inc. has named Friedman, Cohen, Taubman & Co. as its auditor.

The Plantation, Fla.-based Dreams operates in three business segments: retail, manufacturing/distribution and franchising. The appointment of Freidman Cohen was approved by Dreams Inc.'s board of directors.

FROZEN FOOD EXPRESS JETTISONS KPMG

Frozen Food Express Industries Inc. has dismissed Big Four firm KPMG as its auditor.

The Dallas-based temperature-controlled trucking company did not give a reason for dismissing KPMG, and there were no disagreements between KPMG and its former client on any accounting issues over the past two fiscal years ended Dec. 31, 2006. However, KPMG did advise the company of a material weakness in its accounting procedures, including not having enough experienced people in that department.

At press time, a successor had not been named.

SALEM APPOINTS SINGER LEWAK

Camarillo, Calif.-based Salem Communications has engaged Singer Lewak Greenbaum & Goldstein LLP as its independent accountant, dismissing Big Four firm Ernst & Young.

In a filing, Salem, a media company, said that the switch in auditors did not come from any disagreements over accounting matters, principles or practices.

GTSI CORP. TAPS PRICEWATERHOUSECOOPERS

Information technology concern GTSI Corp. dismissed Big Four firm Ernst & Young as its auditor and named PricewaterhouseCoopers as its replacement.

Ernst & Young's report for the company's 2005 fiscal year stated that there was substantial doubt about GTSI's ability to continue as a going concern.

Also, E&Y's reports on GTSI's financials for 2005 and 2006 noted material weaknesses in financial reporting controls, including an insufficient number of accounting staff and insufficient controls over the financial close and reporting processes.
