Change of Auditors

SUN HEALTHCARE JETTISONS E&YSun Healthcare Group, an Irvine, Calif.-based provider of specialty health services primarily to seniors, has dismissed its auditor, Big Four firm Ernst & Young, and named PricewaterhouseCoopers as its new independent accountant.

In a federal filing, the company did not state a reason for its change in auditors except that the change was approved by its audit committee, and it added that there were no disagreements on accounting matters with E&Y.

RADIAN GROUP ENGAGES PWC

Radian Group, a Philadelphia-based credit risk management concern, retained Big Four firm PricewaterhouseCoopers to provide tax and advisory services. Those services are related to the recently disclosed impairment of Radian's investment in Credit-Based Asset Servicing and Securitization LLC.

At press time, PwC was scheduled to audit the company's financial statements for the year ended Dec. 31. Meanwhile, Deloitte & Touche LLP will audit results for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2007.

SOUTHWEST WATER NAMES NEW AUDITOR

Los Angeles-based Southwest Water Co. has hired Big Four firm PricewaterhouseCoopers as its independent auditor for the fiscal year starting Jan. 1, 2008.

The provider of water and wastewater services said that PwC replaces KPMG, which was dismissed.

NATIONAL PRESTO TAPS BDO SEIDMAN

National Presto Industries Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of small appliances, said that its audit board has engaged BDO Seidman to serve as its independent accountant.

The Eau Claire, Wis.-based concern said that BDO Seidman replaces Virchow Krause, and that the auditor change was not a result of any disagreement with Virchow on accounting principles.
