Valdosta, Ga. (June 6, 2002) --Mike Harnish, the former chief operating officer of CPA2Biz, has joined the board of directors of Knowledge Concepts, a vendor of practice management software for accountants and other professional services providers.Harnish, a past member of the AICPA’s Computerization Implementation Committee and the American Bar Association’s Futurist Committee, will help set strategic direction for Knowledge Concepts, which was established last year by accounting industry practice management consultant Tom C. Davis. The Valdosta, Ga.-based company’s main product is called FirmWorks.

Earlier this year, Harnish quietly left his job as chief operating officer at CPA2Biz amidst staff cuts and other turmoil at the troubled AICPA portal. Prior to working there, he was chief information officer for Dickinson Wright, a Chicago law firm, and before that was partner in charge of technology for the Chicago office of accounting firm Crowe Chizek & Co.
