Crowe Horwath merges in SDGblue

Top 100 firm Crowe Horwath is adding SDGblue LLC, a cybersecurity company based in Lexington, Ky., effective April 1.

SDGblue dates back to 1991 and offers cybersecurity services to clients in various industries, including health care, finance, insurance, retail, manufacturing, utilities as well as government. The company has 35 employees and a three-year sales growth rate of 93 percent. As part of the deal, SDGblue founder and CEO C. Glen Combs will join Crowe as a principal. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“By tapping into Crowe’s significant resources, we’ll be able to offer our clients a broader range of products, services and solutions,” Combs said in a statement. “We’re looking forward to joining Crowe, as it will also provide numerous opportunities for our people.”  

Crowe Horwath LLP's U.S. net revenue for calendar year 2016 was $788.6 million. The Chicago-based firm ranked 8th on Accounting Today's 2017 list of the Top 100 Firms.
