Discounted Web, Audio Conferencing Offered to AICPA members

Woburn, Mass. (March 30, 2004) -- Members of the American Institute of CPAs can now get discounts of up to 60 percent off standard Web and audio conferencing rates, thanks to a new partnership between the institute and conferencing services provider Netspoke, based here.

Standard conferencing rates are 32 cents per minute, per person for Web or audio conferencing.

Netspoke will give AICPA members access to tools for reviewing information online with colleagues and clients in a shared, secure environment; for distance learning initiatives; or for internal collaboration within geographically disparate organizations.

AICPA members can also access all Web and audio conferencing features with one number, schedule conferences, or hold impromptu conferences. In addition, members can track all usage and participation and use codes to match certain jobs with specific calls for billing purposes.

"We chose Netspoke because the company delivers both exceptional customer service and a single, easy-to-use, affordable, integrated source for Web and audio conferencing," Michael Cerami, senior director for AICPA member elite values programs, said in a statement. "What's really exciting is that all AICPA members can benefit equally from this program and its highly competitive rates, from the CPA working in a Fortune 50 company to the sole practitioner."
