Dixon Hughes' marketing head starts her own venture

Tracy Crevar Warren, chief marketing and business development officer of Dixon Hughes PLLC, is leaving the firm to launch her own consulting business.Warren's new organization, The Crevar Group, focuses on growth consulting for professional services firms. It opened on Jan. 1, in High Point, N.C.

"I've done what I wanted to do and the machine is built now," she said. "[Dixon Hughes] will become my first client."

Employed at Dixon Hughes for the past 15 years, Warren served as its marketing head for the past decade and helped the firm grow from a $10 million business to more than $120 million in annual revenues. Based on its 2004 revenues, Dixon Hughes ranked No. 21 on Accounting Today's 2005 Top 100 Firms list.

"She helped put us on the map," says Dixon Hughes co-chief executive partner Eddie Sams, in a statement.

With a focus on accounting and law firms, The Crevar Group will advise professional services firms in a number of areas, including niche development; staff training and executive coaching; infrastructure development; marketing and business development hiring; staff utilization and re-engineering; merger and acquisition assistance; meeting/retreat facilitation; and ROI maximization.

Warren has also served as president of the Association for Accounting Marketing, and was named one of Accounting Today's Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting.
