E&Y & Business Processor Partner to Offer Internal Control Services

New York (Sept. 5, 2003) -- Ernst & Young has teamed up with business-process monitoring software maker Approva Corp. to offer internal control software and other services to corporations.

Under the terms of the alliance, Approva will sell and install its BizRights software applications, while E&Y will provide risk advisory services to help companies as they customize the software. The accounting firm will also provide services related to internal control monitoring software.

"It's well known that organizations today are placing significant reliance on IT-enabled business processes," said Michael L. Herrinton, Mid-Atlantic Area Practice Leader for Ernst & Young Technology and Security Risk Services. "Continuous analysis and review of these processes is becoming more and more critical in this fast-paced information economy. Management is demanding real-time knowledge, that processes and supporting controls are operating as intended. Ernst & Young's IT risk advisory services coupled with Approva's software will help to address these needs in the marketplace."
