EY opens Hoboken office and learning hub

Ernst & Young LLP has opened a new 170,000-square-foot office and learning center in Hoboken, N.J., that will employ more than 1,000 EY professionals and boasts advanced technologies to support what the Big Four firm calls “high-performance teaming and learning.”

As well as expanding EY’s New York metropolitan footprint, the Hoboken office at 121 River Street is part of the EY@Work initiative, a project that provides employees with ideal work environments, whether in an office location, at home, or during travel. The emphasis of the initiative is on both productivity and overall employee wellbeing.

The office design is focused on integration, collaboration and innovation. As part of its efforts to promote teamwork, the location has more than 100 collaboration rooms and nearly 130 flexible work areas.

“We are investing in strategic locations in the areas where our clients and prospects have a strong presence,” said EY vice chair Anthony Caterino, who is also regional managing partner for the Financial Services Organization. “Opening EY Hoboken, and our recent announcement of our future U.S. headquarters at One Manhattan West, place our talented professionals in close proximity to the prime areas where financial services companies conduct their business.”

EY just signed a lease agreement at One Manhattan West for a new headquarters location, and also recently opened two New York-based EY wavespace locations. The wavespace locations are learning hubs for clients to access new breakthrough technologies.
