ILLINOIS

Crowe Chizek and Co. LLC, Chicago, has been named one of Chicago's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For by the National Association of Business Resources for the second consecutive year.

MARYLAND

Arthur F. Bell Jr. & Associates LLC, Hunt Valley, has received an unqualified peer review report for the quality control year ended April 30, 2005.

MASSACHUSETTS

Brown & Brown LLP has merged into UHY Advisors Inc. It will combine its operations with UHY's Boston office.

MISSOURI

BKD LLP, Springfield, announced a number of expansions. The firm has acquired the Colorado Springs, Colo., practice of Grant Thornton LLP, adding Dennis W. Yockey and Tad A. Goodenbour as partners. The firm has also merged in Gaither Rutherford & Co., Evansville, Ind., and Lisle Compton Cole & Almen LLP, Oklahoma City. Altogether, the firm expects to add approximately 60 new personnel, one new office and $10 million in revenue.

OHIO

Skoda, Minotti & Co., Cleveland, has completed its registration with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.

WASHINGTON

Clark Nuber, Bellevue, has received a Community Service Award from the Washington Society of Association Executives.

WISCONSIN

Schenck Business Solutions, Appleton, has joined AGN International Ltd. With 10 offices and total staff of 500, it will be the second largest member of the association of independent firms.
