FloQast releases cloud connector for Oracle

Financial close management software provider FloQast has released a robotic process automation (RPA) connector for on-premise accounting and enterprise resource planning solutions. The RPA connector, called Cloud Connect, is designed to make trial balances from on-premise software available in the cloud.

The RPA cloud connectors are available for Oracle immediately, and FloQast plans for them to be available for SAP and Microsoft ERP by year-end.

The aim of the connector is to provide a channel between the business data and historical snapshots from FloQast to on-premise ERP data to improve the month-end close accuracy and process. For organizations that rely on traditional on-premise business applications, Cloud Connect is meant to offer a stepping stone to the specific capabilities of cloud computing, such as continuous data storage.

“On-premise ERP systems lack the connectivity of today’s modern, cloud-based applications,” said Michael Whitmire, CPA, CEO and co-founder of FloQast, in a statement. “As a result, organizations find they have islands of important business data that can only be accessed through highly manual, time-consuming processes. FloQast’s new Cloud Connect make outmoded on-premise ERP systems more like today’s cloud applications, eliminating manual headaches and giving greater utility to organizations’ financial data.”

FloQast cloud connectors are included at no additional cost as part of its close management software Enterprise Plan. To learn more about Cloud Connect, click here.
