HMWC participates in Blind Children's Learning Center 5K walk

Southern California firm HMWC CPAs & Business Advisors (HMWC) announced that the firm's staff and their families participated in the Blind Children’s Learning Center's (BCLC) 13th annual "Destination Independence 5K Walk" on May 13.

HMWC ultimately participated as a "Silver Sponsor" for the walk, donating $2,500 to the organization in all.

“The Annual Destination Independence 5K Walk is the biggest event to support Blind Children's Learning Center," the Blind Children’s Learning Center wrote in a statement. "This year, we are also celebrating the Center's 55th Anniversary. We walk because 55 years from now, what we did for these children today matters. We walk because with the right foundation, children with visual impairments can accomplish anything.”

The BCLC, founded in 1962, is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Orange County children with visual difficulties prepare for a life of independence via education and family support.
