OPENPAGES RELEASES ENHANCED GOVERNANCE PLATFORMOpenPages, a provider of governance, risk and compliance management software, released its OpenPages Governance Platform 5.0, an upgraded solution that features operational risk management, financial controls and IT governance modules.

Open Pages said that the 5.0 platform enables organizations to manage risk and compliance across myriad regulations, including financial reporting and privacy.

Governance Platform 5.0 also introduces two new modules that enable organizations to manage risk in IT operations and compliance with multiple regulatory mandates:

* OpenPages GCM, which automates test, review, attestation and remediation of industry and privacy compliance processes, while identifying similarities between regulations to reduce duplication of effort; and,

* OpenPages ITG, which facilitates IT governance by aligning IT process, policy, risk and operations management with corporate business initiatives, strategy and operational standards.

IIA TO OFFER COMPUTER TESTS

The Institute of Internal Auditors said that beginning Feb. 1, 2008, exams for its Certified Internal Auditor credential will be offered via computer-based testing.

The IIA's specialty certifications, including the Certified Government Auditing Professional, Certified Financial Services Auditor and the Certification in Control Self-Assessment will also transition to computer-based testing. The IIA said that the new delivery method would make the exams more convenient and accessible to candidates, and will expand its exam sites from its current 250 to more than 400. The last written exams will be offered in November of 2007.
