INTUIT DEBUTS ONLINE PAYROLLQuickBooks parent Intuit has introduced a Web-based payroll system for small businesses. Intuit Online Payroll guides employers through the steps of setting up the system, paying employees and taxes, and filing tax forms. The system includes automatic calculations, to-do lists and e-mail reminders when tasks are due. The system currently does not integrate with Intuit's QuickBooks. Paychecks and pay stubs can be printed right away or issued through a free, built-in direct deposit service. The system provides printable tax forms for federal filings, as well as many state filings, including Forms 940, 941, W-2 and W-3.

BONADIO RELEASES PERFORMANCE SOFTWARE FOR CPA FIRMS

CPA and business advisory firm The Bonadio Group has released a business intelligence and performance management system aimed at CPA firms. The P3 Advanced Performance Management Solution for CPA Firms offers access to business data and multi-dimensional analytic capabilities across different practice management applications. Managing partners, firm administrators, executive committees, engagement partners and other types of supervisors can look at data combined from their financial, time reporting, scheduling, CRM and billing systems.

Firms can compare and rank clients for purposes of profitability analysis and action, and prepare margin analysis by client, project, partner and team. They can also do chargeable hours trending and capacity analysis, and review job statistics by individuals, teams, locations and partners.
