Intuit names new head of accountant segment

Intuit has named Ariege Misherghi the new head of its accountant segment, while former head Rich Preece has moved on to become U.S. country manager for Intuit’s small business self-employed group.

Misherghi previously served as director of accountant business. She has been with Intuit since 2009, when she started as a senior product manager. In her role as product development lead for accounting professionals at Intuit, Misherghi has been credited with the growth of the ProAdvisor Program, the Find-a-Proadvisor site, and Intuit’s practice management software, QuickBooks Online Accountant. QBOA also expanded globally under Misherghi’s leadership, most recently becoming available in South Africa and Singapore.

Misherghi’s new, expanded role as the accountant segment business leader makes her responsible for driving the overall accountant business strategy, product development and delivery of Intuit’s professional accounting products and services to its accountant and bookkeeper partners globally.

As Misherghi takes over this role, Rich Preece will now be responsible for developing and delivering the overall market strategy for all QuickBooks products and services, including marketing strategies for payroll and payments.
