KPMG announces 2017 Women's Leadership Summit

KPMG announced on Tuesday the details of the Big Four firm's annual Women's Leadership Summit, set for June 28th. Keynote speakers will include former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice; IBM chairman, president and CEO Ginni Rometty; and KPMG U.S. chairman and CEO Lynne Doughtie.

Entering its third year, the Summit will bring in a wide range of female leaders across business, politics, and sports to share their experiences with future women leaders nominated by their CEOs to attend. Over 50 Fortune 1000 companies will be represented in all.

“KPMG is deeply committed to increasing the number of women leaders within our organization and the broader marketplace through initiatives like the KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit,” stated Doughtie. “Having more women in leadership roles enhances business performance across nearly every metric.”

Notable guest speakers and panelists will include Olympians Michelle Kwan and Lindsey Vonn; Microsoft EVP of business development Peggy Johnson; and Disrupt Yourself author Whitney Johnson. NBC’s Sunday Night Football sideline reporter Michele Tafoya will also serve as the Summit's master of ceremonies.

The Leadership Summit will coincide with the 2017 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, with all events taking place June 26 through July 2 at the Olympia Fields Country Club in Illinois.

Proceeds from both the golf tournament and the Leadership Summit will go towards the KPMG Future Leaders Program, which looks to recognize female high school seniors throughout the country with college scholarships, a leadership retreat, a mentorship with a professional female leader, and more. Condoleezza Rice also serves as the program’s ambassador.
