Holman Frenia Allison Merges in John J. Maley CPAs
Details: Holman Frenia Allison, P.C., an accounting, tax, and advisory services firm specializing in municipal audits and entrepreneurial services, said the firm of John J. Maley, CPAs, has joined it, effective Jan. 1, 2016.
The deal adds five new members to Holman Frenia Allison, bringing the total to six partners and 60 staff members, along with an office in Bordentown, N.J. Holman Frenia Allison currently has offices in three counties in New Jersey, along with a Pennsylvania office.
John J. Maley, CPAs offers accounting, tax, bookkeeping and business services to family-owned and privately held businesses, state and local municipalities, as well as not-for-profits and individuals. With the addition of John J. Maley, CPAs, Holman Frenia Allison, P.C. expects annual revenues to exceed $7.5 million.
GHD CPAs & Advisors Joins Cohen & Company
Details: Cohen & Company has merged in GHD CPAs & Advisors, formerly known as Godfrey Hammel, Danneels & Company.
Cohen & Company is headquartered in Cleveland and also has offices in Akron and Youngstown, Ohio, Milwaukee, Wis., and New York, N.Y.
GHD has grown from a small business-counseling practice in Detroit into one of the largest local accounting and consulting firms in the Detroit area, with more than 60 professionals.
Cohen & Company ranked 79th on Accounting Today’s 2015 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $43.22 million in annual revenue. The combined firm will have revenue greater than $65 million and more than 400 employees. The current leadership team of GHD will remain in Detroit and also will be involved in firm-wide leadership. GHD will be adopting the Cohen & Company name, effective February 1.
Wagner Eubank & Nichols Merges in Midwikis & Granger
Details: Austin-based CPA firm Midwikis & Granger PC is joining a Dallas-based firm, Wagner Eubank & Nichols LLP.
Midwikis & Granger has 10 employees, according to the Austin Business Journal. The deal will give both firms access to each other’s markets and services. Midwikis & Granger’s management also sees benefits from Wagner Eubank’s younger employee base.
