Adams, Brown, Beran & Ball Merges in Hiebert & Decker, CPAs
Details: Hiebert & Decker, CPAs is joining Adams, Brown, Beran & Ball, effective Nov. 1, 2016.
Hiebert & Decker was founded in 1973 and services individuals, businesses, nonprofit organizations, trusts and estates. ABBB dates back to 1945 and currently has 140 employees, 14 partners and 13 offices.
The merged practices will be located in ABBB’s current offices in Wichita.
Calvetti Ferguson Acquires Jim Oliver & Associates
Details: Calvetti Ferguson, a Houston-based CPA firm, is expanding its footprint in San Antonio by acquiring Jim Oliver & Associates P.C. effective Dec. 1, 2016.
Oliver founded the firm in 1981 and specializes in servicing health care, real estate and law firms along with family offices and other types of small businesses. He was technical editor of Today’s CPA, where he wrote a column called the “The Closing Entry.” Oliver is a member of the San Antonio CPA Society and the Texas Society of CPAs and currently serves on the TSCPA’s executive board as chairman-elect. Along with him, six members of Oliver’s staff will be joining Calvetti Ferguson.
In addition, Sandra Schieffer, formerly of Mangum, Schieffer, Bradley & Co., will join the firm effective Nov. 1, 2016. She was a founding partner at Mangum, Schieffer, Bradley & Co., where she mainly services clients in the energy industry, along with closely held family-owned businesses and their owners. She has more than 35 years of experience as a CPA. Schieffer is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Texas Society of CPAs, and the San Antonio Chapter of CPAs. Four members of her staff will also join Calvetti Ferguson.
