Maillie merges in Rowland Johnson

Maillie LLP is adding Rowland, Johnson and Company, a CPA firm based in New Castle, Del.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Maillie has annual revenues of approximately $20 million. The merger will add 15 people to Maillie, bringing its total employee count to 120. The combined firm will have 13 partners.

Maillie LLP was founded in 1946 and is one of the largest firms in the Philadelphia area. The firm has offices in West Chester and Mont Clare, Pa. Maillie provides accounting, attestation, tax and financial consulting services for closely held private businesses, nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, retirement plans, individuals, estates and trusts. The firm also services clients in the construction, real estate, manufacturing, auto dealership, professional services, and technology sectors.

“This merger provides tremendous opportunities to broaden our professional services and geographic reach,” said Maillie managing partner Robert L. Caruso in a statement. “We are excited about being associated with a firm that has the stature and reputation of Rowland, Johnson and Company.”

Rowland Johnson dates back to 1986 and offers accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services to both individual and business clients. “This merger will bring benefits to the clients and employees of both firms,” said Rowland Johnson director Deborah Horn in a statement. “Our clients will have access to increased levels of services and expertise. In addition, our firms will have additional opportunities for growth and expansion.”

The firm will remain in its New Castle offices, but under the Maillie name.
