Mauldin & Jenkins merges in Derrick, Stubbs & Stith

Mauldin & Jenkins LLP, a Top 100 Firm, is expanding its presence in South Carolina by adding Derrick, Stubbs & Stith, a firm based in Columbia, S.C., effective Oct. 1, 2017.

The addition of Derrick, Stubbs & Stith will add six partners to Atlanta-based Mauldin & Jenkins, including managing partner Charles R. Statler, Jr., along with Michelle Z. Chapman, K. Todd Dailey, Alan F. Grimsley, Timothy M. Monahan and David L. Splittgerber, along with more than 25 staff members. The combined firm will have approximately 280 people and seven offices in five states.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the combined revenue is expected to total approximately $50 million. Mauldin & Jenkins ranked 86th on Accounting Today’s 2017 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $44.8 million in annual revenue.

In addition to offices in Atlanta, Ga., and Columbia, S.C., the firm also has offices in Albany, Ga., Macon, Ga., Birmingham, Ala., Bradenton, Fla., and Chattanooga, Tenn.
