New York (July 21, 2003) -- Microsoft launched an upgrade Monday for its accounting package for small businesses - Microsoft Business Solutions Small Business Manager 7.5 - with an eye towards offering growing companies a comprehensive solution for their expanding business needs.
The upgrade includes enhancements to its order and inventory management system, a fixed assets management function, custom financial reporting tools from FRx Software and Crystal Reports, payroll and deduction management, and allows up to 10 simultaneous users.
“Microsoft Business Solutions is committed to delivering compelling products and services to small businesses,” says Karen Engel, group product manager with Microsoft Business Solutions. “Small Business Manager 7.5 is geared toward customers who are outgrowing packaged software.”
Engel said the user base is now in the “thousands,” as is its base of reseller and recommender partners.
Small Business Manager 7.5 is available immediately through Microsoft Business Solutions reseller partners and consultants, beginning at $995 for single users. Users can be added for $400 per concurrent user. A U. S. payroll add-on suite is available for $500, and additional options for Fixed Asset Management and reporting tools are available.
