NJCPA to award over $375K in 2018 scholarships

The New Jersey Society of CPAs announced this week that it will be awarding over $375,000 in scholarships to local college and college-bound students for the upcoming fall 2018 semester.

Fifteen four-year awards, worth $7,000 each, along with 40-plus one-year awards, worth $6,000 each, will be distributed. Additionally, the Society's Atlantic/Cape May, Bergen, and Mercer chapters will also be presenting funds to local students, alongside other scholarships via the American Institute of CPAs and the National Association of Black Accountants-Northern New Jersey.

“Helping the next generation is an important part of our role at the NJCPA," stated Ralph Albert Thomas, CEO and executive director at the NJCPA. "Members and staff routinely dedicate their time to assist local students in getting on track towards becoming CPAs.”

The 58th Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony will be held Tuesday, April 24, at the Pines Manor in Edison. Scholarship winners will be able to meet and network with local CPAs and representatives from a number of the state's top firms.
