NYSSCPA Elects Forest Hills CPA President

The New York State Society of CPAs has installed KPMGpartner Stephen F. Langowski of Forest Hills as its president.
Langowski has more than 25 years experience delivering audit and

advisory services in the public sector. He started his career in 1979

with Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young). He joined KPMG in 1994 and is

currently national audit sector leader for the firm's public sector practice.
Langowski joined the NYSSCPA in 1981. He has served as president-elect,

vice president of the board and as a member of the executive and finance

committees. He also chaired the audit, federal government contracts and

government accounting and auditing committees in addition to serving on

numerous NYSSCPA committees and task forces. He is also a member of the

Governing Council of the American Institute of CPAs.
Langowski is a member of the Citizens Budget Commission and is a David

Rockefeller Fellow.
