NYSSCPA Elects New Prez

New York (May 16, 2002) –CPA Jo Ann Golden, a partner at New Hartford, N.Y.-based Dermody, Burke & Brown, has been elected as president of the New York State Society of CPAs.

A member of the NYSSCPA since 1992, Golden has served in numerous posts, including on the board of directors and executive committees and has chaired the minority group recruitment and equal opportunity committees.

Before joining Dermody, Burke and Brown, she was president of Jo Ann Golden, CPA, PC, in Herkimer, N.Y.

As a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Golden represented New York on the four-member AICPA Global Credential Task Force, which designed the national survey on that issue.
