Oregon's Jones Roth Acquires CPA Firm

Eugene, Ore. (Sept. 8, 2003) -- The CPA firm Jones & Roth has acquired Beaverton, Ore.-based firm Peck & Kopacek, boosting the firm to a staff of 91.

"We are delighted to welcome Peck & Kopacek clients into our firm,” said Shirley Braunstein, Jones & Roth shareholder. "They will continue to receive high quality service, but also have access to new service areas such as retirement plan administration, financial planning, estate planning, business consulting services, business valuation and litigation support."

Financial details of the merger were not disclosed.

Jones & Roth’s other specialties include tax planning and compliance, audit and assurance services, business consulting, retirement plan services, wealth management, book-keeping, closely-held businesses, construction, non-profit and municipalities, manufacturing and distribution, and medical practice management.

Peck & Kopacek partner Mike Peck, in a statement, added that Jones & Roth was “an excellent fit for our clients.” He also said that providing administrative efficiencies was not available in his previous, smaller firm.

Peck, along with partners Carl Kopacek and Susan Howard, join the Jones & Roth team in its Hillsboro office.

Headquartered in Eugene, Ore., Jones & Roth also has an office in Bend, Ore.

Jones & Roth now has 91 employees firm wide, with 26 located in the Hillsboro office. The firm serves clients in all industries including manufacturing and distribution, construction, municipalities and non-profits.
