Pittsburgh Firms Join Forces

Pittsburgh (July 15, 2004) -- Local CPA firm McCrory & McDowell LLC and nonprofit consultancy Dewey & Kaye Inc., based here, have reportedly joined forces in a non-financial transaction.

The two firms are merging their assets, principal Ken McCrory, the leader of McCrory & McDowell’s nonprofit practice, reportedly told the Pittsburgh Business Times.

M&M managing principal Michael McDowell told the paper that Dewey & Kaye's expertise complements his firm's extensive nonprofit practice.

Dewey & Kaye will keep its name and operate as a division of McCrory & McDowell. Dewey & Kaye's six employees will move into McCrory & McDowell's offices by the end of July, the Business Times said.

McCrory & McDowell has 10 principals and more than 50 employees. Its affiliate companies include: Financial Advisors Inc., which provides financial planning and wealth management services for individuals; Diversified Medical Management, which provides consulting services for health care practices; and Computer Resources, which provides business software solutions and information technology consulting services.

Dewey & Kaye provides strategy development, planning services and executive searches for nonprofits, foundations, community collaboratives and government agencies.
