Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Grant Thornton and RSM McGladrey were all named to the list, which was organized alphabetically.

Deloitte was singled out for its lattice structure of firm advancement; E&Y boasts more women who are promoted to partner than the other Big Four firms; KPMG seeks ways to increase its employees' personal freedom; PwC held traveling workshops that got women and their managers talking about the challenges of balancing home and work; Grant Thornton offers up to seven months of parental leave (up from four last year); and RSM McGladrey offers a free work/life coach to employees to help resolve financial, family and workplace issues.
