PeaCounts tests blockchain accounting system

PeaCounts has begun beta testing an accounting and bookkeeping system that leverages blockchain technology, with a release planned for this summer.

The company was co-founded by enrolled agent Crystal Stranger and accounting software developer Shashank Shukla.

“Business owners will no longer require a dual-entry system with manual reconciliations,” said Stranger in a statement. “Combined with machine learning, PeaCounts has developed a system that makes manual entry a thing of the past.”

PeaCounts plans to offer an online dashboard and mobile app to provide real-time information about where a user stands financially and the ability to scan a receipt with a mobile phone. PeaCounts will use a “Blockchain of Identity” concept in which users will have access to the data registered to them in the directory.

A “Smart CFO” feature will prepare budgets and other financial projections. Future planed features include a payment system powered by a cryptocurrency token, PCT, that will allow payments to vendors and employees worldwide.
