RSM launches 'Advisor Center' to strengthen firm's soft skills

Top 5 firm RSM US announced on Wednesday the formation of their First-Choice Advisor Center, a new project that will look to develop the skills needed to be better understood by the firm's clients.

Furthermore, RSM acquired assets of consulting business Athens Partners, including the hiring of partners Rick Davis, Linda Davis, and Pat Nunley - who have previously created many of RSM's current programs - as the Advisor Center's new faculty.

"We are very excited to join RSM to help the firm accelerate progress toward its vision," said Rick Davis, founder of Athens Partners, per a statement. "Linda, Pat and I have been fortunate to enjoy a strong relationship with RSM and its professionals over the years, and we look forward to taking this next step to become part of the firm to further enhance our ability to support RSM professionals in delivering the power of being understood to current and prospective clients."

Over the coming months, the three will work with the Center's executive team - consisting of RSM COO Bill Gorman; chief HR officer Katie Lamkin; national tax leader and client experience leader Jeff Johannesen; and chief marketing officer Andy Bosman - to develop new programs to help RSM's professionals strengthen their business advisory skills.

"Our firm has been making strong progress toward our vision to be the first-choice advisor to middle market leaders," stated RSM US managing partner and CEO Joe Adams. "The RSM First-Choice Advisor Center is the next step in equipping our professionals to consistently deliver the power of being understood to our clients in every interaction. It will combine and build on the leading edge client experience curriculum we have developed over the last several years."
