Schenck adds Winter, Kloman, Moter & Repp

Schenck SC has agreed to merge in Winter, Kloman, Moter & Repp SC, a firm based in the Milwaukee area, with the deal expected to close July 1, 2018.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Schenck is based in Appleton, Wisconsin, earned $83 million in annual revenue, and has 600 people. It ranked 6th on Accounting Today’s 2018 Regional Leaders list for the Great Lakes Region. WKMR earned $8.4 million in annual revenue and has 67 employees. Schenck has 60 shareholders and WKMR has nine. Once the transaction has closed, the combined firm will have nearly 700 people.

WKMR has provided audit, accounting, tax and business consulting services to closely held businesses in southeastern Wisconsin since 1968. The firm is led by president and shareholder Daniel Gotter and has offices in Brookfield, Oconomowoc and Watertown, Wisconsin.

“We look forward to the new opportunities this merger brings our clients with the greater resources and more diversified services we can offer as a combined team,” Gotter said in a statement. “For our team members, it will offer tremendous growth potential with an ability to focus more specifically in an industry, develop additional expertise, and devote dedicated time within that specialty.”

“Schenck continues to focus on strategic growth, and Winter, Kloman, Moter & Repp is a well-respected firm that will help strengthen our collective position in the market,” stated Schenck president Daniel Young. “We share a similar client service approach, which keeps the client and their success at the center of everything we do. We are truly stronger together and our clients will be the ultimate beneficiaries of this change.”

Schenck has offices in Appleton, Fond du Lac, Green Bay, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Sheboygan and Wausau. “We’re pleased WKMR has chosen to join us to meet the growing accounting and consulting needs of businesses in southeast Wisconsin,” said Terry Strittmater, managing shareholder of Schenck’s Milwaukee office, in a statement. “Their industry focus and skill sets complement ours, which allows us to bring a wider range of specialized business services to the greater Milwaukee area and beyond.”

WKMR’s employees will continue to operate out of their existing Brookfield and Oconomowoc offices, but the Watertown office will close on July 1 as those employees move to other offices.
