SEC Appoints Shillman to Market Regulator Unit

Washington (Aug. 4, 2003) -- The Securities and Exchange Commission today named David Shillman to the post of associate director of the commission's Division of Market Regulation.

In his new role he will co-direct with Elizabeth King, the regulator’s Market Supervision office. He will report to Annette Nazareth, the SEC’s director of Market Regulation Shillman fills the void left by the March departure of Alden Adkins.

For the past three years, Shillman served as counsel to the division director. Prior to joining the commission, he was an associate at both the Washington D.C. law firm of Dow Lohnes & Albertson and the New York firm of Willkie Farr & Gallagher.
