Q&A with Mark Goodson, Partner, SMB Business Development
What qualifies your company as the VAR of the month?
Sikich is a true national practice with 21 offices spanning across the country from Boston to Los Angeles. With these offices, we have NetSuite opportunities in all of our territories as we continue to grow this practice. We help our NetSuite clients and potential clients see what’s possible, set priorities, create a roadmap for accomplishment, and deliver results that matter. Recently, we launched our first micro-vertical NetSuite solution, Sikich CRO for NetSuite, which helps Clinical Research Organizations within the Life Sciences vertical simplify and streamline their processes and reduce costs. With this platform, CRO clients can sync all their disconnected solutions to a single NetSuite solution.
What makes your company successful?
We’re successful because of our focus on our clients. Before we prescribe a solution, we understand their goals and needs first. This starts from the beginning with our sales process. Over 89% of our new clients in 2017 first engaged us for a Business Process Assessment prior to purchasing a solution. We are very focused upon high client satisfaction and have our clients rate us on every implementation we do for them. While we are very proud of the high scores we receive, we are always looking at how to improve everything we do. In addition, all implementations have an equity partner assigned as Executive Sponsor to further ensure a superior outcome.
How are you growing your firm? How do you plan to continue to grow?
With our high client satisfaction, we have very low client turnover. That said, we do expect high growth in the Life Sciences vertical thanks to our Sikich CRO for NetSuite solution. Life Sciences is just one key industry we focus upon continuously building out our NetSuite services and capabilities. Other key industries include Distribution, Manufacturing, and Professional Services. As we continue to grow organically within these industries, we will also continue to grow through acquisition, combining with other firms that can add to our NetSuite practice.
What opportunities do you see in the market?
We see a huge growth opportunity with the cloud as it continues to grow and be a key strategy for most businesses as well as with micro-verticals such as CRO. We also plan to expand into other Oracle offerings, such as Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service, Block Chain Cloud Service, and Oracle AI Platform Service. In addition to reselling NetSuite, we’d like to partner with NetSuite as an Alliance Partner.
