Q&A with Hersch Patel, Managing Director at Socius

1) What qualifies you as the VAR of the month?
We are thrilled to be named VAR of the month and to be able to share our success and vision for the future! We’ve leveraged our experience implementing, supporting and strategically aligning solutions to our clients’ goals to build our NetSuite practice, which has experienced tremendous growth since its launch in 2014. Our ability to connect people and processes through technology has paved the way for us to provide NetSuite solutions to rapidly growing businesses that are transforming their respective industries. Our experience has taught us that while each client has unique goals and challenges, they share common objectives – growth and profitability – and we’re proud of the thousands of client successes our partnerships have fueled.
2) What makes you successful?
We believe that our competitive advantage lies in our approach to partnership – we are an authentic ally in our clients’ journey toward growth. Our core belief is that implementation is the beginning of our relationship, not the end. Our deep, specialized expertise brings our clients clarity and enables them to focus on their core competencies to create real, lasting growth. Technology opens the door to new ways of thinking, doing and succeeding, and we never lose sight of the human connections that our solutions empower.
3) How are you growing your firm? How do you plan to continue to grow?
Our growth has occurred both organically and through several strategic acquisitions. To support that growth, our talent acquisition strategy is twofold; we continually invest in hiring experienced consultants and in addition, we have developed a robust college recruiting program to continually bring new talent into the organization. We target our marketing and sales efforts toward specific vertical markets where we see the industry ripe for a move to cloud-based solutions.
4) What opportunities do you see in the market?
We believe that increased awareness in the marketplace of the security of cloud-based solutions and the benefits of a unified platform to connect all of a businesses’ transactional and customer data present tremendous opportunity. Scalability is also a strong motivator for organizations looking for cloud solutions. Growing organizations recognize the need for agility, collaboration, and mobility – all of which make NetSuite an ideal solution, and our depth in service delivery makes Socius the ideal partner.
