Somerset CPAs offers branded portal app for its clients

Somerset CPAs, a firm based in Indianapolis, Ind., has created a portal app for its clients.

The app is firm-branded, and is aimed at streamlining client access to the accounting and advisory firm. It presents a client’s accounts, finance and tax information, as well other tools such as calculators, in one interface.

“The development of a custom app is something we have been considering for some time and we see it as a real differentiator,” said Scott Mills, managing director of IT for the firm, in a statement. “Many firms in the U.S. don’t have anything like it and it is helping Somerset get ahead of the curve and do something a little bit different.”

Somerset CPAs developed the app in partnership with winner of Accounting Today’s top new products - online apps for 2017, MyFirmsApp. The company has built more than 2000 apps for accounting firms aimed at helping solve the challenge of direct communication and the collection of client data.

“Having an App is proving to be a very effective differentiator for the firm,” stated Lori Ehlin, Somerset CPAs marketing manager. “...[I]t’s a very powerful conversation piece. The app reinforces that we want to be a go-to resource for our clients.”
