Taxaroo transitions to tax practice management

Taxaroo has relaunched its online tax preparation service as a tax practice management system.

The New York City-based startup company launched last year as a kind of “Uber for taxes,” connecting tax preparers with prospective tax clients in search of tax services (see Taxaroo Aims to be Uber for Tax Preparers). Taxaroo is now shifting into a practice management solution for tax professionals to use, rather than the tax clients.

“While a success, we took feedback across all of our tax pros and decided we could have more impact on the tax industry by shifting Taxaroo to a practice management solution,” said CEO Brian Liebert.

The service includes an automated client organizer, secure document exchange, integrated invoicing and payment collection, and client approval of final tax documents from within the app. The service includes built-in e-signature features, reporting on the user’s tax practice, team workflow management, and the ability to collect client feedback.
