DYNAMICS GP 2010 RELEASED

Redmond, Wash. - Microsoft officially released Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010, adding enhanced business intelligence functions to the latest version of one of its top enterprise resource planning systems. GP 2010 contains more than 400 built-in Microsoft SQL Server reporting services and Microsoft Excel reports, along with enhanced interoperability with Microsoft SharePoint and new tools such as PowerPivot for Excel 2010. It will also allow for easier drill-down to key client information. The latest GP version also integrates with Microsoft's online CRM product and Word, with the ability to create Word forms such as customized invoices and send them via e-mail from within Dynamics GP 2010.

 

XBRL US LABS ANNOUNCES IPHONE, IPAD PROJECTS

New York - XBRL US Labs, the research and development arm of XBRL US, has initiated an effort to bring XBRL apps to Apple's popular iPhone and newly released iPad mobile devices. The purpose of the initiative is to demonstrate the power of XBRL in a simple and accessible way. In addition, XBRL US Labs will recruit Labs partners, research fellows, and interns to prepare for a June meeting that will seek to crowd-source the design and features of the applications using a workbench and collaboration platform.

 

SAGE'S PHILANTHROPY SAAS

Baltimore - Sage North America is now offering a Software-as-a-Service application to help nonprofit organizations use the Internet to increase giving, participation and overall support through online donations and registrations. Known as Sage Fundraising Online, the application will allow nonprofits to create multiple giving forms with marketing messaging to better reach new and existing donors.

Sage Fundraising Online is expected to integrate with Sage Fundraising 50 V. 8.2, scheduled for release in June, as well as future Sage products. The service also integrates with Salesforce.com, and maps to a number of other customer relationship management products in the nonprofit software market.
